Who We Are

Waste Not Energy Advisors LLC was launched in 2009 by Bonnie McCann and Jennifer Briggs. Both owners have completed extensive training in building science and energy conservation.  Both have earned national certification as Building Analysts by the Building Performance Institute (BPI). Waste Not’s methods are based on research by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the Residential Services Network (RESNET), the Energy Conservation Institute based in California, Pennsylvania Home Energy, Saturn Online, and the Performance Systems Academy based in New York State.

We are committed to “green” workforce development and the professionalism of future energy auditors. We serve as adjunct faculty at Harrisburg Area Community College, teaching the next generation of building analysts.

Energy audits are much like preparing tax returns. Professional fees vary significantly, depending on how well you’ve tracked your income and expenses – and whether you are filing a standard tax return, a 1040 EZ or a complicated return with international holdings, exotic investment instruments, or complex trust arrangements.  Please contact us for specific information about professional service rates.
